These ground turkey burgers are enhanced by the Mediterranean olive and feta topping, which will elevate your grilled burgers to new heights. Serve them on a bun or without, as you pick.
Ingredients
Olive and Feta Topping:
- 1/3 cup crumbled feta
- 1/3 cup minced green olives
- 1/3 cup minced black olives
- 1 lemon, juiced
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Turkey Burgers:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta
- 1 lemon, zested
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
Directions
Step 1
Combine as one feta, green olives, dark olives, and lemon juice in a little bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Place in the fridge until prepared to serve.
Step 2
Join ground turkey, breadcrumbs, slashed onion, egg, feta, lemon zing, dill, oregano, garlic, and smoked paprika in a bowl. Shape blend into four 1/4-pound patties.
Step 3
Lightly oil the grate of an outdoor grill before putting it on medium-high heat.
Step 4
Cook the turkey burgers on the preheated barbecue until at this point not pink in the middle and the juices run clear, 7 to 10 minutes for every side. A moment read thermometer embedded into the middle ought to peruse no less than 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
